Winter Weather. . .

January 22nd, 2003 · 4 Comments

my eye. Leslie has stated that she’s sick of snow. I probably would be too, at this point, if we’d actually had any. I think we’ve gotten a total of 4 inches since November. It’s ridiculous. I’ve been walking around in my sweater, for heaven’s sake! January weather is not supposed to be sweater weather!

Our daffodils are sprouting!

Leslie, can we talk to the weather gurus and have them send some of your snow our way? ‘Cause we’re shaping up to enter our 5th straight year of drought.

    You have daffodills and we are suppose to freefall to 9 F by tomorrow night (In Georgia!) Something is seriously wrong here…..

    Our windchill tonight is supposed to get to -10.
    Snow has been a weekly thing here, though what was predicted for Monday amounted to a few flurries.

    I think the catch here is to NOT want snow and you will get it ;-)

    Emily, break out your sandal’s and the snow will come!

    Except that Murphy goes my intentions, not actions. It’s like, if you wash your car to make it rain, it will never ever rain, but if you don’t want it to rain and wash your car, it will rain cats and dogs. So if I wear my sandals, it will be with the intention of making it snow, and it won’t work.

    Someone needs to kill Murphy. Seriously.

    Update on Georgia weather: We woke up at 6:00 am to find snow, schools cancelled and further proof that this city of transplants (aka Atlanta) still can’t drive in ice, snow or other forms of precipitation. Wasn’t much snow…maybe 1/2 inch, but the roads were a mess. I’m would move to Australia, but they aren’t having much better luck with the weather. What we need is a good book to pass the time {G}
