I got official confirmation yesterday for the Nimbus panel, so I decided to find out a little bit more about where my esteemed panelists are from.
Two of the panelists are from California Baptist University, which is affiliated with the California Southern Baptist Convention. One panelist is from Biola University, which is a private Christian university that teaches Evangelical Christianity. The last panelist is from Taylor University College, a Christian University and Seminary in Alberta, Canada.
Then there’s me, from Brigham Young University, affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Oh, yes. This is going to be fun.

Granted a lot of Baptists and assorted other sorts of born-again Christians go out of their way to bash the LDS church, but I’d think they’d be the same sort that think Harry Potter is the work of the devil. Then again, humans seem to have a great ability to be selectively open-minded….

Have I read what they wrote? No. Supposedly one of the professors is supposed to be setting up an e-mail chain so we can discuss, but I haven’t actually heard from any of them yet.
In any case, I expect it will be a highly interesting discussion. I hope we get a good crowd.
