Shopping!

I love spending lots of money, particularly when it’s someone else’s. :) See, my graduation dress accidentally got shrunk, so my mom offered to buy me a new dress for the same amount I paid for the original– which was $90. Can’t find the same one, of course. So we went to Meier and Frank to see if we could find anything else. Not much there. So we started wandering, and I found an adorable khaki skirt, and the next thing I knew I had 2 pairs of pants, 4 shirts and a skirt for just under $150. $50 of it is mine, but it’s worth it. Lots of cute stuff, and all suitable for work, which is what I needed. Plus we got $30 off of that through coupons. Meier and Frank is great with coupons– usually it’s for an additional 10% or so on their already-clearance priced merchandise. Wahoo!

Also finally got to Barnes and Noble with my $10 off certificate. Ended up buying a Georgette Heyer called Devil’s Cub, which I can’t remember Angua ever mentioning (and since the log of our conversations is on Ginny, I can’t check), but the plot sounded good. I’ll be careful while reading it just in case it SUX, so I can return it. :) Also bought a French vocab builder and a review & practice book meant for intermediate French speakers, which technically I am. I need to have a reading knowledge of a foreign language for graduate school, and my French is extremely rusty.

So all in all, a good night. :)
