Now, I’m already a Mormon. Everybody get that? I’M A MORMON. Emily Bytheway. My REAL Mormon name. Most people I know have perfectly normal names. I have a few weird ones on my Mom’s side of the family, but they’re from a small town– all small towns produce weird names, not just Mormon ones. And none of them were unprecedented. Anyway, most Mormons aren’t that weird. People who names their kids like this are WEIRD. I feel really sorry for the kids, sometimes, though. Really sorry.

In any case, I’m not saying that this site isn’t funny. It is. It’s hilarious. Just don’t take it too seriously.

And anyone familiar with Mormon pop culture knows that Bytheway is about as Mormon as you get. There’s a Bytheway that’s famous in Mormon circles– John Bytheway. He writes books, does motivational talks, etc. He’s my uncle. I’m surprised that Bytheway doesn’t come up as a last name on that site, in fact. Hmm. . . .
