Today marks 93 days until Order of the Phoenix comes out, and over in the Sugar Quill forums, someone suggested a great idea!
There are 93 chapters so far in canon. Starting today, if you read 1 chapter a day, you’ll be done with the first four books before book 5 comes out!
Cool, eh?
I’m doing it.

That *is* a great idea. I’ll have to go look at that thread.
Still procrastinating on the thingie. Our opponenents are Zorb and whatshername who did a post once on HP4GU. Must do opposition research.
Later!

Angua, this is bad. I’m already the Co-Queen of Procrastination. You’re supposed to be the on-the-ball one in this partnership, or we’re never going to get *anything* done.
Looked at the thread again. Looks like there’s 94 chapters in canon. Which means I’ll have to read two chapters of SS tonight. Darn, what a sacrifice.
Hmm. Zorb and whatshername. I remember Zorb from those Christmas essays. Since I’m not too “in” with HPfGU, I really have to clue who the second person is. Opponent research is definitely an essential.
Along with memorizing OotP, of course.
Welcome to the blog, Anuga!

Who’s the other one? I can spy a bit! I’m a great spy.

I’m sorry! What’sherface is Linda McCabe. She had a rather impressive (but very very RONG, of course) post at HP4GU once. Link:

Omigosh! I just had a blinding revelation. I think Linda McCabe is Pallas Athena from DT.
May I just say… ARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!
I can see the whole debate hijacked into a referendum on House-elf Liberation.
::buries head under pillow and refuses to come out::
On the plus side, that means the time I thought I was wasting typing on DT lately was actually useful practice.

Ha — I bet you’re regretting now that you told me about this blog. I am totally spamming you.
PLEASE feel free to delete my above posts if you feel they are impolitic in any way. I will not feel even the slightest bit offended.

Spamming schmamming. I like comments. And if we can’t be snarky on our own webpages, where can be be snarky?
Ooh, if Linda McCabe is Pallas Athena. . .this could be very interesting. Hopefully our supposedly impartial moderator will keep it from becoming either a House-Elf referendum or a debate on the theatricality of HP (where in the HECK did that come from, anywho?).
Of course, OotP will probably change everything. Maybe the whole house-elf issue will become moot by then.
*Emily imagines blowing the H.M.S. Pumpkin Pie to bits with our Canon*
I’m SOO excited!
