What made Dumbledore become a teacher? Funny if he had been a child who showed no magic until late in life. Look at Einstein...didn't talk until he was five. Did he want to help all the Nevilles who only needed to believe in themselves? Just a thought from an inside perspective on why we choose the work we do. How did he arrive at Hogwarts? School in the 1860’s could not have been simple in Scotland, still a very poor nation with many families leaving for the United States. Between 1846 and 1851 nearly a million persons emigrated from Ireland and Scotland while it is estimated that about another
million and a half died of famine or disease, mostly related to famine. Dumbledore would have been born during this period. Who was left to go to Hogwarts?

Opps…teacher mode again…I’ll stop.
