We did check with the doctor about the fever. He was sure it was dehydration. The theory is that the type of surgery rarely results in an infection. Her inability to keep anything down, whether liquid or solid, is the cause of the dehydration.

So, he said to push fluids. We also administered an anti-nausea. The increased fluids, anti-nausea, and tylenol did the trick.

She actually came up to get a Lortab this morning before I left to work, and looked a bit more perky than before. I think the worse is over finally!
