Well . . . .

You see the problem is, that when I was in school, as an engineering major, and already married, and Ben and Emily, and the twins were already here, and I still hadn't graduated, and my grades were in the sewer because I just wanted to PASS the class not to get A's, and I was working and there just wasn't time to work and pay the bills and get good grades, and I was sick of school, and I was tired, and well, I just sort of slacked off a bit.

So it is not too easy for me to be too awfully upset with Emily at this point, because I did basically the same thing. Of course, in my profession, real ability, not grades are what counts. No one ever asked my GPA when I was applying for a job.

What can I say!!!

P.S. I'm sure all you highly skilled English major types are laughing out loud at my feeble, and inadequate writing skills and grammar!

And what's preventing Mr. Dave from reading today’s entry? 8-) Oh, girl will you be in trouble!!!!!!!! Ah well, it was just Herbology.
Hmmm, how did I do? Now mind you...last semester is student teaching for half a year in field of study, but before that, hum...reaches up on desk and pulls transcripts out that she just happens to have in her credential packet.
1. Teaching Strat: Secondary-A
2. Russian History to 1815-B+ (Prof had an accident, man was he hard to follow.)
3. Lit For Young People-A (fondly known as kiddy lit.)
4. English Romantic Writers-B
5. Personality and Culture(it’s Sociology)-A
Then there were the 10 toward the masters to keep cert. current. Cake walk class really. Bunch of teachers getting together and 'playing'. My two favorites for that semester were Simulation and Gamming. Nothing like learning how to play games in the classroom. Really though there were some incredible ideas that I did use in my own room. But my all time favorite was Museum Resources. We learned how to take students on field trips to museums and have them be educational, not just a waste of a day. We got behind the doors access to 8 of the major museums here in Michigan. Ever hear of Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum? I got to go through archival letters of Henry Ford. I touched them and read them and fondled them and if I had know who Hermione was back then I would have been as bad as she was with a rare original copy of Hogwarts a History.
